FAQs
Do you take insurance?
To provide comprehensive, holistic, and human-centered care, I am out-of-network with all insurance companies. I’m happy to support you in maximizing your out-of-network benefits by providing an invoice, also known as a superbill, which you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Depending on your plan and deductibles, you could be reimbursed for a portion of each session. Here are some helpful questions to ask your insurance provider if you are interested in this option:
1. Does my policy cover mental health care from out-of-network providers?
2. What is my deductible and has it been met yet?
3. What percentage of my bill will be covered for services obtained by an out-of-network mental health care provider?
Do you meet with clients in-person or only virtually?
I offer both in-person and virtual sessions. I have limited availability for in-person sessions in Los Angeles, CA. I also offer virtual sessions via a secure tele-health portal. I can also accommodate phone sessions if that is supportive for you, although I would prefer to see your face!
What is an Associate Clinical Social Worker?
To become independently licensed to provide psychotherapy in the state of California, graduates of accredited masters programs must complete 3,000 hours of post-graduate clinical care as an associate under the supervision of a fully licensed clinician. I have my Master’s in Social Work and am in the process of obtaining those supervised clinical hours. This means that I see clients independently as an ASW (#114126) while receiving regular support from Nicole Nowparvar, LCSW (#75052) who ensures I am offering the best care to clients and continuing my growth as a therapist.
